Funky Mood

Today is Dr. Seusses' 102nd birthday! YIPPEE. I heart Dr. Seuss because he was just so awesome!! The very first book I ever read by myself was THE FOOT BOOK. Audrey would read it to me almost 3 times a day, so I guess I just memorized it. But I loved that book so much!! And it rhymed which made it that much cooler.

So today was just a regular go-to-school-and-do-the-usual kind of day. The performance last night went well. We got our ajudictors' results sheets. We got two 1's on the first score (the highest possible. It ranges from 1-5) and a 1 and a 1/2 on the second. That's not a half, that's a one slash two. LOL. Mrs. Laktash seemed happy, probably because she didn't think we would do that well. I'm glad we are done with those songs! And now tonight is Strings In The Round. I asked Mrs. Leas yesterday, based on our rehearsal that day, what grade she would give us. She said both 2's because of the intonation problems. And at practice today I was totally out of it and missed my cue for pizzacato and all this stuff. But Mrs. Leas is one of the most patient people I have ever met, even up to hours before the compotition. Well, technically it isn't a competition, but everyone views it as it is. We are second on the program, with Miller South going first. Eww, I'm not even going to say anything about them. Last night Libby was like "They're so good it's sickening!!" Litchfeild was probably 2nd best. I guess there is this unwritten rivalry between Litchfeild and Hyre. Even during basketball season they were the team we couldn't wait to get to play. If I didn't go to Hyre, I'd definatly want to go to Litchfeild. My mommy went there!!

Wow, that was a long paragraph. So yes, I'm being the little nutrition freak that I am and eating chocolate chips straight from the bag and an orange soda. Hey, it won't kill me this one time. I'm trying to teach my cat manners. And it's working. I feel like I'm training a dog.
