"It's just another day!..."
Today was a good day. Audrey woke me up at 7:45 by switching on the light. I was quite grumpy due to this and I'm sorry family! :) Well anyways, I got dressed and we went to church for the Woman's Prayer Partner brunch. The food was goood, as usual. And Cheryl Blasdel made this cute little angel decorations for each of us. The theme was angels, so Mrs. Kuhns had a quick devotional about the work and presence of angels before the gift exchange. I got my person, who I was totally unware of at the time, a little bear and snowman ornament. I received my gift and was surprised to find out that Merle Handy was my "Gal Pal". I tried to hold back the tears because I know that she is very, very ill and in the hospital. She has been praying for me for an entire year, and her prayers were very evident to me. At times, when I was down I would receive this sudden abundance of peace. I like to think those are the exact times Merle was praying for me. Wow, the power of prayer is so awesome. Please, continue to pray for Mrs. Handy that she will be given the peace she needs as she is going through this suffering. As my dad tells me, she is doing what seems to be much better!
Merle got me a braclet and a Burger King gift card! Thanks :)
So, after we came home from the brunch, we went to Audrey's Madrigal performance at E.J. Thomas Hall. They were having a craft show/shop sale going on and the Ellet Mads were going around from place to place in the building singing Christmas songs. Needless to say, they were goood. It was funny how they put little 5'0'' Audrey on the very top of the steps, and at the very bottom of the steps with the Christmas decorations blocking her face. As always, Audrey looked absolutly beautiful.
We came home and I've been lonely since :'( I need to get a pink t-shirt and a stick of blue lipstick before Monday. The 8th grade basketball team girls have to all wear jeans, pink tees, and have blue lips for "twins day" and the 7th graders have to dress up 70s-ish. Hehe, I'm not too into the lipstick part, but hey, gotta support the school right!
Here's a joke for ya:
If Frosty the Snowman married a vampire, what would they name their child?
--Frostbite.
Haha, funny stuff right there... :-/ LOL.
I am very cold!! I have on a tank top, tshirt, hoodie, shorts, and sweat pants!! Oh, and we have received our first two Christmas cards today!!
Well, I must be going now. Toodleoo!
