Just Wing It

This is what I told my team in gym class on how to run the plays in "Ultimate Nerf Football". And now I'm taking that advice on my bloggage. I felt the urge to write, but I'm not sure what about. So, I'm going to wing it.

Yesterday. It's all a big blur. Um..we had a party in choir, if you'd call it that. People brought in music and we had candy in cookies because our class was already ahead of the others. Um..I was chosen as student of the month for Mrs. Laktash! :) I'll try and find an actual good picture of me for the S.O.T.M. wall. All of the altos in our room made the auditions for select choir for Choirs In The Round. So, yea, I'm excited for that! Oh, but anyways, back to the par-tay..Victoria brought in a Rascal Flatts cd. Libby, (a.k.a. the DJ) put it in at full blast. I guess the song was called "Skin" or something. Victoria turns to me and she's like, "Listen to the words, I cry everytime I hear this song." Man, it was hard to contain the tears! It was about this girl who had cancer and she lost all of her hair to chemo. This guy asked her to prom, which I guess was a big surprise, and he shaved his head for prom, for her. :') Victoria was like lip-syncing along with it, which turned the fountains on even more. Everyone was like, "Is Liz crying?" LOL.....maybe.

So, I had my conversation with Sra. Seroke. I picked the absolutle hardest conversation ever! The first thing she said was, "Buenos tardes, Elena [my chosen Spanish name]." I asked her to repeat it like twice and just sat staring at her confused. Finally, I realized she was saying good afternoon so I'm like, "Oh! Hola.." Wow, now if that didn't wreck my already low confidence in this, I don't know what did. I paused a lot and I think that I responded to her correctly. Wow. Actually, I volunteered to go first, which may have been better for me in her point of view. I always try to go first and get it over and done with!! Hayley got the same card and we pretty much had the same answers, which is a good sign!!

And how could I forget..I got out of 8th and 9th periods yesterday to attend the 1st annual Hyre Spelling Bee. The top 6 people got to go to the Divisional Bee. That was the looongest thing ever. I sat next to Jelena and we tried to spell the words right! Mona was in it, but unfortuanatly, she got out in the 2nd or 3rd round. :(. She did good though! Tyron was hilarious. He looked like an exentric Baptist preacher up there. LOL! He missed the word "leopardess" though. Aww, poor guy! But wow, these 2 kids were left from the 6th round to the 12th. It was insane. When the girl would miss one, so would he. Finally, when he got one right and she didn't, I thought it was over. Nope. He had spell one more word. Darn..he missed it. This went on forever. They still didn't finish!!! They have to finish on Monday. I was getting really anxious!

Today is Waiver Day and so we have no school. I'm bored. We're not going to do anything! We never do. I'm always stuck in the house. Boo Hoo. I'll probaby end up cleaning my room. I HATE CLEANING. Tonight is the Coffee House so atleast I can look forward to that. Want to do something?

WE have spellling bees almost every year. i was in it in 6th grade. They changed it from being a schoolwide assembly to just the participants, judges, and parents. It was A LOT easier! WE do have a geo bee though, and EVERYONE has to watch. Ask Kassie for more info though...she was in ti twice.
