A knot of my daily happenings, boredom posts, and venting periods. Sometimes humorous, other times, genuine. No matter what the topic, I'm sure you will enjoy reading.

Get Ready To Vent!

My venting period has begun. I've got a lot of things on my mind and this happens to be the perfect place to tell you all about them. But before I do that, here's my day. (Bear with..)

So today was a very good day! I felt like a total idiot again in Language Arts because I had to yell STRIKE ONE! really loud and like an ump. We are reading Casey At The Bat, and that is part of my section to read. Lydia said I scared her and made her jump out of her seat. LOL, I still hate doing it! We have to draw an entire map of the WORLD in science class. I have absolutly no idea what the signifigance of this little project would be. We have to label all of the countries.. Ahh! I never realized Russia was so humongous!! Well, science was pointless. We are learning about the evolutionary theory. It's so stupid. I hate it. But, of course we used up much of the period talking about unneccesary things. Like how milk is bad for you because it is acidic and will cause osteoperosis. What ever! I love milk and contiue to drink it!!

And now..I shall vent.

Now, I wrote alittle something like this before in March of this year. But, I've noticed so much lately how people act different in hopes of being liked. I, for one, was part of this "be like everyone else" movement, especially during 6th adn 7th grade. I remember just needing to have the Etnies or Chuck Taylors (looking back now..why??), wanting the Aeropostale clothes, and everything else all of the "cool" kids had. Now this year the thing to have are those big sequin purses. Everybody has them! I see almost everygirl in the hallway carrying these things. Honestly, I'm happy with my old, breaks every 15 minutes, brown, lumpy purse!

I remember reading the testimony of this guy who was at a campus. He saw this guy wearing all black, piercings everywhre, purple/green hair spiked a foot high. He went up to him and asked him, "Why do you dress like this?" He replied, "I want to be unique...you know, an individual." "You mean like all of those other guys over there?" This was so true!

So many people these days try so hard to fit in that they will go to the extent of changing their entire appearance, language, behavior, and ditch their friends. Everybody wants to liked. In very few accourances do I find those that change their lives become popular, get the guy, or whatever, and stay in thatt situation for very long.

This year, I made the decision to not get into that, and I can honestly say that eigth grade year has been the best and most fun year yet. Of course, there are other reasons for this, but I'm positive this is an essential factor. I've made lots of new friends, I'm happy with myself because I'm not constantly beating myself up to be perfect and liked by everybody, because that's not going to happen. No matter what you do, not everybody in the entire world will like you.

So, be yourself. God made you exactly the way he wanted you! He doesn't mess up, so how could he have disformed you? You're loved. My grandparents have this picture on their wall that makes me smile everytime I see it. It has a little poor boy standing in raggedy and it says, "God made me. God doesn't make junk."

Have a good day!! I heart you!!
