Christmas

I don't know about you, but I had a very merry Christmas. I love seeing the family!

So, on Christmas Eve we went to Grandma and Grandpas. Aunt Susie and Uncle Sean came up from Columbus, and Uncle Vic and Jordan were there. Aunt Ivonne and the family didn't come because they went to Uncle Joe's family's house. My grandparents friends, Carmen, Camillo, and their son Adrian came too. We ate a reeeeally good meal of ham, Spanish rice, potatoes, and all that other good grub. Afterwards, we just sat around and talked. Of course I got the "So, do you have a boyfriend yet?" many times from Aunt Susie and Grandma. It was nice to talk with eachother!! After presents, Audrey, Uncle Sean, Aunt Susie, Grandpa, and I played ImaginIff... It was a lot of fun, but the sad part was we didn't know a lot about eachother. Like I realized I didn't know much of anything about my aunt or uncle. :'( All I want is to have a good relationship with my aunts and uncles. They either live far away or they have their own busy lives and schedules. I sometimes look at other families and wish that I could be that close with my own extended family. But that is why I am so thankful for holidays, we can be together!!

Sunday morning we woke up at 7:30 and opened presents. My favorite present was the new perfume I got: Adias Moves for Woman. Wow, it smells really good! Then, Dad, Audrey, and I practiced the song we'd be singing. I got dressed and then we went to church. There was no Sunday School because of the Christmas Musicale. I liked having Christmas on Sunday. I don't know why, but I just made it seem extra special. I was more aware than usual of the real meaning. Pastors had several breif sermons inbetween each section of music that all really caught my interest. Towards the end, it was time for us to sing. I thought I would be too nervous to make a sound, but I felt surprisingly calm. I never want to hear prayer doesn't work because I knooow it does, or else I'd have been a nervouse shaking mess up there!! :)

We came home and straightened up the house fo Dad's family to come over. We ate around 5:00, which was absolutly delicious! Mom is an awesome cook. We sat at the card table (Audrey, Philip, and I) with our little cousin Holly. She is so cute. All she ever says is "MMHMM". :-D. I love listening to the conversations Uncle Jeff, Dad, and Uncle John can start. My favorite ever is the one about how Uncle John and Don held uncle Jeff over a highway bridge by his ankles. Is it true, who knows, but it sure is funny. I love Uncle Jeff's toolbox stories, too. We talked with eachother and had a great time.

As I said, I love Christmas and Thanksgiving because it allows us to take a break from our busy lives and just be together as a family.
