Rambling...

-*-hey. just got finished with dinner and it was delicioso. mmhmm..anyways, yesterday morning i woke up late and since there was a track meet, mrs. firtha told us all to wear our jerseys (as hyre always does for any sport on game day). it was wrinkled so i went downstairs to iron it. the material of the jersey is like mesh. i am so used to putting the iron on "6" for cotton so my routine led me to set the iron the that number. and, well, i burnt a hole right through the back of the jersey. i was MORTIFIED and i went upstairs crying. i had an important intermural game that day so, i knew i couldnt miss that to tell her. i went to tell her at the beginning of 4th period because she is the 8th grade home ec teacher so i knew she wouldnt have a class. i was surprised that she actually laughed when i told her! she loaned me a new jersey top to wear, but i still have to pay $25 or so for a new one. shes nice, and im just glad i didnt have to talk to mr. blain about this. wow, i would be in big trouble!
yesterday at the meet, i came in 3rd out of the 6 girls in my heat, #1 for hyre in my heat, and #2 for hyre overall in my event. so, as of right now, i qualify for the championship. my time was 1.19, which is better than my 1.21 in the last meet.
today we had to draw numbers for the order of our "persuasive speech" in language. i got #2 grr...though, atleast i will be able to get it over and done with. i did my report on why underage drinking is bad. i also found out today that i qualify for the Junior Honor Society at my school. i dont even know what that is, but i have to write an essay. i got a call slip during gym class 7th period to go to Mrs. Mann, thats when i found out about it. in gym we were setting up chairs for the musical that was happening 9th period. i didnt get to go because mrs. senyeck wanted us to finish up our les vitreaux and watch the Aristocats. there was like nobody there today because it was "bring your daughter [and/or son nowadays] to work day" too bad, they missed out on fried chicken in teh lunch room. now, i am not a messy eater..unless it involves hyre fried chicken. that stuff is the greasiest, soggiest, blandest, chicken in the world. its like Cheez-Its though: they are not that good but soo addicting that you cant stop eating them. and to make matters worse, they chose this day to run out of napkins. mona and aubrey were laughing at me because i had to use my bread slice and cookie wrapper to wipe my hands on.
well, thank you for taking the time to read this!

Bloggin my Brains Out!

hey..just finished dinner. like i said in my most recent entry, i went to a ball game today. the aeros won 15-6 against the bowie baysox. i didnt really watch the game, just hung out. i got a free lunch today" hot dog, chips, and orangeade(wow, that stuff is so good). I bought Dippin-Dots. Mmm, those are good too. i mostly hung out with jackson, dan, lydia, kayla, brandi, and tom. all of us except kayla and brandi went to the pitching thingy to see how fast our throw is. i got a wopping 42 mph. lol, so i probably wont be pitching for the akron racers, but thats better than i thought i would do and I AM PROUD of myself!!! lol* mr. brodbeck brought a whole bunch of peanuts and i was eatin` them up like crazy.a foul ball came right in our section (112, row M, seat 16 :-D) and i seriously thought it was gonna hit me right in the face.
anyways, when we got back at like 2:00, i had orchesta and then had to type up this paper for Madame Senyeck in French while the rest of the class was watching 'The Aristocats'. After French, I went to track and they had us run 3 mi. When i got finished, they told me that i was going to be an alternate for the 4x4. i was like "im sorry, but i have already made a commitment to my yg to be there" (the 4x4 is the last event, beginning around 6:25ish) track is not my #1 priority, God is. and so, i am running my normal event: the 4 m dash. when our meet got rained out last week, they obviously postponed it for next monday. grrrr... and the same night as the 'all daughters banquet' is the team pictures. so yes, i am overwhemed. but ya know what..." Phil. 4:13 I can do all things thru Chirst who strenghtens me"
Oh, speaking of which, tomorrow at YG, i am sharing my testimony on Camp Patmos and a verse. usually, the verse is the presentors favorite, and the one i am sharing is not. i am sharing Matt. 6:19-21..they were the verses that the whole Camp Patmos focused on last year and i thought this would be a good time to share them because they fit right in with my testimony.
wow, now i got to thinking how bad i want summer! i cannot wait for the "never ending pool party" and camp, and warm weather, and NO SCHOOL.
wow, i am like goin down rabbit trails here BUT, speaking of school, i have a big test on thurday over chapter 7 "the 3 empires [Mongol, Muhgals, Ottoman]" and since i wasnt in school today, i had the reveiw sheet for homework. great, now i just remembered i have all that homework from missing class because of the Aeros game. oh well, what can ya do?
remember when i wrote about how i invited laura bush to my school? well, i got something back today! i got a whole bunch of pictures of the prez and family, a laura bush card, flashcard like picture cards with info of the people on the back (did u know george w. went to harvard :-o) and a letter from lauras personnal schedualing advisor telling me how she can't come. :( o well, i wasnt expecting her to. i invited her because she is a really good lady.

well, im gonna go now! heres a song...

It's crowded in worship today
As she slips in trying to fade into the faces
The girls teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know
Farther than they know

Chorus:
But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way

A traveler is far away from home
He sheds his coat and quietly sinks into the back row
The weight of their judgmental glances
Tells him that his chances are better out on the road

Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the body of Christ

Jesus is the way

SATURDAY! woot woot

Hey. Last night Audrey and I went over to Beckie's and Emily's to spend the night. It was a lot fun. We hung out in their room until 10:30 or 11:00ish and then went downstairs and watched a movie. Me and Emily made our famous popcorn mix, consiting of chocolate, rice krispies, pretzels, and of course, popcorn. After we watched that movie, we set up the sofa bed, set p our pillows and stuff, and watched another movie. The movie was 'Heavy Weights'. All of us fell asleep in it. I kept waking up like every 15 minutes or so this morning, beginning at like 8:30. I finally got up and went upstairs to see jimmy, becky, and emily watching 'the forgotten'. mrs. kozy made us french toast and bacon. after that, we again hung out in their room, playing 'chatitude' i think its called and talked, and beckie was nice enough to do mine and audreys hair. i could tell she was tired though. we all were, since we only got like 6 hours of sleep. we came home around 12:30 and i made "Kraft DELUXE macaroni and cheese" wow, that stuff is sooo good, better so than shells and cheddar (lol em) and thats hard to beat. tonight is the 'family night' at church. idk how it will turn out but im excited to go and cant wait to see what the leaders have in store for us. i always have fun at yg events!
well, g2g!

At School

Hey, I'm at school. Did you know that In the late 1200s, the Mongol Empire reached it's height under Kublai Khan? I did! We are learning about the Mongol Empire in this class right now...Anyways, I went to the Cavs game yesterday. Me and Dad were in the nosebleed section. We were in Section 231, Row 15, seats 11 and 12. It was fun though. Dad bought me a hotdog, crackerjacks, and a Sprite. It took us like half and hour to get off the top level of the parking deck. I fell asleep in the car and didn't get to bed until 11:15. I woke up at 5:45 and had to get ready to go to Intermurals today. My homeroom won! 17-7. Then, after school I have yet another track meet. I'm kinda freaked because we are going against Litchfeild as one of our competitors. Mrs. Firtha was like "We HAVE to beat Litchfeild, that would make my day. Give us a gem in our team" or something like that. And remembering how tired I was last time, I'm not looking forward to this as of right now. But, I'll get hyped up around 9th period or so. Then, after I run I'm going to YG. I'm looking forward to that. I think Jimmy is teaching on anger management. Wow, I really need to listen. I have a hot temper at times and it usually leads to a grounding session, most likely the amish type. Oh yes, the Amish groundings... That's when I have no modern conveiniences to use. No tv. No computer. No phone. Once no radio. So, I am pretty much amish in the fact that I cannot use electricity. That hasn't happend in awhile. The last time I was grounded was back when we were going to Skyveiw Ranch. It was either no retreat, or being grounded. I was really looking forward to going so I took the grounding.
Well, time for me to go.

Whatever...

I am soo tired of school. I am overwhelmed and frustrated with it and I cannot remember the last time I wanted summer this bad. I can't wait for swimming at my best friends house, camp, flip-flop wearing weather, and NO SCHOOL. But, i have no summer clothes. I dont know where they all went, but i dont have anymore. like since it is warming up, idk wat to wear to school and church or anything. Hopefully, i can go shopping and buy some summer decent clothes this weekend. Clothes are so expensive now-a-days. And, it seems like the lesser amount of fabric put into the peice of clothing, the more it is! It's sad the types of clothing people like to wear these days, especially when they see their favorite celebrity wearing it. Makes no sense @ all. I will be happy in just shorts, a tee shirt, and sandels, or sandles, however you spell it. LOL. Me and Audrey played catch today. Audrey was in the way back of the yard and she threw it and i ran up to it. I didn't catch the ball but it hit my knee. OWWWWWW! Luckily, the ball wasn't all the way inflated, now that woulda hurt. In gym today we played "ultimate nerfball" (almost like ultimate football, yg!) and i was the quarter back. mr. tondi made us go into our little huddle and call the play just as the pros do. it was kinda funny, my team mates were laughing. Anyways, I helped score the one and only touchdown needed to win the game. Wow, track was the hardest that i ever remember it. We had to "charge" up this hill, back down, back up, back down, 13. Though, it was only like 1/10 a mi. but it was difficult. Whew, but its paying off. I am a better runner than i was during basketball season and come next year, hopefully i will be even better. You know, that's kinda like your relationship with God. The road might be bumpy and HILLy, but if you keep working, you will get closer and closer and closer to Him. You should be working every single day to be closer to God.

Thanks for takign the time to read this. Comment me! (^*^excuse the typos^*^)

Off The Top Of My Head

This is another one of those "whatever comes to my mind" kinda blog posts. Well, I just got home from the evening service and Mom is making sotogetos or whatever. It's some Spanish food that I'm not that fond of so I will just have a fried egg. Tonight is the Contender. I love that show. I don't like boxing, but I can't wait for the show. It has taken over "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". Brent, this one guy who was evidently a really good Christian was the one who got "kicked off" two weeks ago. I was actually upset. This guy was dedicated to Christ and always in His word. But when he got in the ring, some big talking guy who was like "this guy is trying to steal the food off my kids' plate" beat him really bad. Me and Audrey were like "C'mon!" and yelling at the screen. It didn't help much because that show was taped like 6 months ago. The East Side team isn't doing to good against the West Side. And the guy who got out last week was from...the East. Reality TV can really get to you...
Today I had church. In Sunday school, the Quiz Bowl took a turn in events this morning. Team Pocahontas is catching up to the Skillz That Killz, with a score of 12 to 11. I gotta keep studying. I know I said this before, but this Quiz Bowl was a really good idea. It helps me dig into His word, and not just so that I can help my team win the $40 youth tickets, but because I WANT to.
I played catch with Philip again. You know how it was all sunny this morning? Well, Audrey thought she would go outside and "get a tan". That didn't work out so well because it got cold and cloudy. She is grounded (sorry Audrey) so she was reading her Language book out on the patio. Then, I threw the Frisbee around with Tippy. She is actually beginning to realize that when I throw it, she is supposed to GET IT. But, I still have to teach her to bring it back to me and not have her run around the whole backyard.
Well, it's 7:57 and the CONTENDER's about to come on so ttyl! :0)

Beauty

--Just wanted to let you know that I got a haircut today. Wow, it is a lot shorter than I wanted it, but what can you do now? I straightened it to try and make it a little longer, but our straightener is old and is pretty much useless. I also got my eyebrows done. Ouch, I cannot remember the last time it hurt so bad! I didn't wince or anything, but the last two peices hurt soooo bad. Beauty is painful, ya know? Of course, real beauty comes on the inside. I remember at Camp Patmos (a long time ago, mind you) me and my friend were going around asking everyone who was prettier. Mrs. Kozy opened up her Bible and showed us that we were both beautiful, and not only on the outside, but on the inside. I look back and realize that that was one of the silliest things I have ever done. I am beautiful, because I have Jesus.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
I was so unique
Now I feel skin deep
I count on the make-up to cover it all
Crying myself to sleep cause I cannot keep their attention
I thought I could be strong
But it's killing me
Does someone hear my cry?
I'm dying for new life
***
[Chorus]
I want to be beautiful
Make you stand in awe
Look inside my heart, and be amazed
I want to hear you say
Who I am is quite enough
Just want to be worthy of love
And beautiful
***
Sometimes I wish I was someone other than me
Fighting to make the mirror happy
Trying to find whatever is missing
Won't you help me back to glory
***
[Chorus]
***
You make me beautiful
You make me stand in awe
You step inside my heart, and I am amazed
I love to hear You say
Who I am is quite enough
You make me worthy of love and beautiful

April 15, 1912 and 2005

Just wanted to let you know that today is the 93th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic. It is also tax day. :) Posted by Hello

Titanic Leaving Port - April 12, 1912.

Just Bloggin, What Else?

Today was good. We had practice at Hyre today and had to run 3 laps (1 1/2 mi) but then all these people were complaining and asking unnecessary questions. So, we had to run an extra lap, making a grand total of 4 laps and 2 mi. I paced myself and ran all 4 laps without stopping. I was praying the whole way... it helped.
Wait--why do I always talk about track? Oh! Because that is the only thing that I can put in here! My life is uneventful other than this. I hardly have any time anymore! I come home at 4:45ish, take a shower, eat dinner, do homework, sleep. :( I cannot wait until SUMMER!
Well, we have no practice tomorrow (yes) LOL, anyways...do you know that one commercial for that new instant dinner that you just throw in the crock-pot, and it is cooked in like 8 hours? You know, the one with the freaky talking crock-pot on it? Yeah, well Mom bought that, the chicken and dumplings one. Hmm, let's just say it is not an experience I want to reenact. But, my mom is a great cook. There must be something wrong with our crock-pot, like it's defective or something. I don't know, but it wasn't my favorite dinner, I'll just put it like that. :)

Meet

Today was the first track meet of the season. Hyre went against Perkins and Jennings I think. Anyways, like I said before, I ran the 400 meter dash. I ran in heat 1 with a girl named Tara. Becca and Hayley ran in heat two. I came in fourth out of eight. Yeah, it's not bad for my first time, right? :) They MADE me take out my earrings and it hurt to put them back in. After the meet I went to youth group. We played "baseball" if that is what you would call it, but DJ and James play it weird..the bases are all mixed up and it can be quite confusing if you don't pay attention. Other then those two things, my day has been very uneventful. Nothing good nor bad has happend and like most days, quite boring. Tomorrow is Thursday and the means only one thing: one more day until Friday and Friday means only one thing: Saturday is the next day and Saturday means two things: No school and Sunday the next day and Sunday means: church :) and the last day of the weekend :(. You see, just keep a positive attitude Wednesday nights, and the rest of the week will fly right on by.
Well, I get to go do makeup homework from yesterday. I'm turning into a procrastinator! (like somebody, but who could it be?) lol

NEW POLL ON SIDEBAR

My Wonderful Desktop :) Posted by Hello

Just Typing

I'm just sittin` here eating fried chicken and jojos. It is soooo good! :) Well, today was ok. We disected owl pellets, got a scoliosis screening (and had no math because of this) and played football in gym. The school day was good, but when I went to the locker room after 9th period for track practice, I realized that my Gatorade had leaked all over my new jersy, which is in the washing machine right now. We ran a mile before playing freeze tag. It was nice becuase we just jogged, but we had to jog in place if we got tagged. I also found out that I can't run at the meet tomorrow with my earrings. I just got my second hole peirced and can't take them out. I don't know what to do. I will prolly take them out right before and put them back in right after. I am as of right now, NOT running the 800 m, but the 400 m. So, instead of pacing myself for half a mile, I have to run as hard as I can for 1/4 mile.
Last night I had a lot of fun with Audrey and Philip. We played "football" in our backyard. I started out as the QB, Audrey as the center, and Philip as the lineman. Audrey would hike me the ball, Philip would do a nice little spin out the the right, and catch the ball and run into the fence for a touchdown. Literally, into the fence. Tippy was the defence because she was just standing infront of us barking like mad. Mom and Dad were looking at us from the kitchen window, laughing. Like I said, I can't remember the last time I had that much time with my siblings. Except: camping. Wow, I love camping with my family. We cook over and open fire, sleep in a leaky tent or me and Audrey have to sleep on one twin bed with Philip on the toddler size bed above us all cramped into a tiny little trailer that the Rostedts are nice enough to let us borrow. Ahh yes, camping. Where me and mom attempted to make macaronni with not colonder, where I got so sunburned that my face peeled and the next day went to camp for a week and got even worse, where there is nobody else for you to hang out with but your beloved family. I know that I seem like I hate it, but I love it! And those are the elements that make it so much fun.

Well, I'm gonna go!

Weekend Recap

On Friday was the missionary dinner and first day of the conference at church. It was nice to see some of the missionarys that our church has been praying for in person. Then on Friday, one of the missionary families came and spent time with us teens. We played a lot of new, cool games and heard their testimonies. The games were Portugese and they gave us a whole bunch of ideas for new games that we could play during youth night. Then today, Sunday, another missionary came into the sunday school room and gave us a really good lesson. During the morning service, one of the missionarys played her flute. Wow, she was really good! After church i went with the Adams to wendy's for lunch along with a whole bunch of other people from our church. Then, i went back to their house and me and kristen went running around her neighborhood. whew, that was pretty challenging because i'm so used to running on a flat track, not HILLS (and I emphasize hills) lol :) -it was fun to talk with her and get some pointers on running. I spent some time with them at their house before going to church for choir practice and nursery. After the service, my mom and dad took all of us and one of the missionary familes out to icecream at Stricklands. I learned a lot from them and was even asked about going on a missions trip to Portugal over the summer. That would be a lot of fun.

---And that's my weekend. It was pretty jam-packed with activities and was a lot of fun. And now, at 9:50 at night on Sunday evening, all I can do is think about what a great time I will have in school this week (and not to mention how lucky I am that this is the week for me to do dishes. I can't contain the happiness!..) But, instead of having a bad attitiude, I should be joyful in all I do, even though it's gonna be reeeeeeeally hard. But, God will help me :0)

Another Day Gone By...

Today was a good day. I mean, it wasn't extravagant, but it wasn't unbearable either.
The school day was good, but then came time for practice. Oh, that long-anticipated practice. We went up to elate today and did a warm-up run of 2 laps, 800 m, or 1/2 mi, which ever you prefer. Then we did time trials for the 400 m and the 800 m. For the 400 m, my time was 1.41 min. and for the 800 m it was 4.00 min. flat. I was actually not straggling` that far behind either! Yippee!! I have the tendency to run with my head down, which I shouldn't do cause Audrey said it will make me sick. Well, anyways, after the time trials, we took a 2 lap jog and a one lap walking cool down. Then, finally, we went home. I took a shower and then went to youth group. I hit a double in the baseball game and make two runs! Yes!! Hehe.. then we went into the room and talked about evangelism for when we go to Cedar Point. I can't wait for that, we will be there all day and then there will be a youth rally. We also learned the 2.6.2. method. It tells you good ways to witness to someone. To see the 2.6.2. method go to www.bsbcyouth.blogspot.com. I will be posting it momentarily.

Camp is expanding the chapel! Complete with air conditioning, restrooms, and seating for 500+! -Yes- Posted by Hello

Track II

Well, I just got back from practice. Yesterday was like 57 degrees and I wore shorts. But noooo, today when it was 76 degrees I just HAD to wear sweat pants. Besides being scorching hot, I ran 5 laps; that's 2 1/2 miles. I know that doesn't seem like a lot to you, but it was a big accomplishment for me. The terrain was kinda hilly and loopy (hmm, I was running on the Hyre Loop...). I ran in intervals though. I ran two straight laps, no stopping at all, took a 30 second break to drink my Gatorade, ran another two laps (with a few walkin distances) and took another 30 second break, and then finally my last lap. Throughout the last 2 laps, I felt like I was going to pass-out, so I kept my head straight and looked ahead. I starting singing Sunday School songs like : Jesus Loves Me, The happy Day Express, (I thought of the little kids in the Beginner Dept.) and Light The Fire. Wow, that really helped. Basketball really helped a lot though with the practices every day after school during the season. But with God on my side, I can do it, and I'm not quitting. I just have to keep pushing myself...
Tomorrow we are going up to the Ellet track. That is 1/4 of a mile I THINK, but I'm not sure. So, it's half of the Hyre Loop. (Aren't I the mathematician?)
The main reason I am doing track is to build up my endurance, get healthy, and be able to look back at myself and realize that I can do it. *I have so much respect now for runners. They work so hard every day and they have stuck with it. --Good job guys!--

Computer Glitch

Sorry everybody that I have not posted in awhile, but that is because our internet shut down..due to some unfortunate happenings.
We have two computers and one has working speakers and the other does not. I was on the one with the busted sound card and Audrey was on the other. I wanted to listen to my playlist, but was unable to. Soo... I went behind the long, large desk that both computers sit on and attempted to switch speakers to see if that would make any difference. (Well, I was wrong..it didn't help at all). Anyways, after realizing this, I switched speakers back and for some reason, the internet shut off. I was soooooo mad at myself!!! This happend Thurday afternoon and it is Saturday afternoon right now. My dad finally fixed it.

I saw "Napoleon Dynamite" yesterday. Wow..stupid,stupid movie. I mean, yeah, it was somewhat funny, but it had horrible acting, random scenes, and no plot. I think the story writers were thinking this stuff off the top of their heads. The only part I can say that was good was when he was dancing. That was good humor.

Well, time for dinner!
