Stupid Instructions

*These are actual instruction labels on consumer goods*...
On Sears hairdryer: Do not use while sleeping.(Gee, that's the only time I have to work on my hair!)
On a bag of Fritos: You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.(The shoplifter special!)
On a bar of Dial soap: Directions: Use like regular soap.(and that would be how?)
On some Swann frozen dinners: Serving suggestion: Defrost.(But it's 'just' a suggestion!)
On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert: (printed on bottom of the box) Do not turn upside down. (Too late! you lose!)
On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding: Product will be hot after heating.(Are you sure? Let's experiment.)
On packaging for a Rowenta iron: Do not iron clothes on body.(But wouldn't that save more time?)
On Boot's Children's cough medicine: Do not drive car or operate machinery.(We could do a lot to reduce the construction accidents if we just kept those 5 year olds off those fork lifts.)
On Nytol sleep aid: Warning: may cause drowsiness.(One would hope!)
On a Korean kitchen knife: Warning: keep out of children.(hmm...something must have gotten lost in the translation...)
On a string of Christmas lights: For indoor or outdoor use only.(As opposed to use in outer space.)
On a food processor: Not to be used for the other use.(Now I'm curious.)
On Sainsbury's peanuts: Warning: contains nuts.(but no peas?)
On an American Airlines packet of nuts: Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts.(somebody got paid big bucks to write this one...)
On a Swedish chainsaw: Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands.(Raise your hand if you've tried this...)
On a child's Superman costume: Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.(Oh go ahead! That's right, destroy a universal childhood belief.)

Weekend

Yesterday was the Youth Ralley in Rittman, OH. It was cool, but all the people were too wound up. Seriously, they were jumping on the stage, falling all over, head bagging :-D and being amazingly talkitive. We went past a sign that said Smithville Next Right and I was like "Did that say Smallville? Where's Tom Welling" L0l.. It was a good night. The speaker was really good, but the food wasn't. I'm just glad that us Akron baptists can coooook!!! Man, when we have "buffet" ,if you may, they are table loads of food, all of which is good. Especially the Kozy pizza..lol jp guys
This morning I wasn't feeling to well but I went to church. I was in the choir and when I walked in I banged my leg on the side of the pew and almost fell. I couldn't keep ahold of my choir book and I almost dropped that. Man, I am soooo glad I didn't, I would be so embarressed!! I would never live it down from the adults!!! Then I had gum in my mouth and I couldn't find the wrapper. Do you know how hard it is to sing with gum in your mouth???
Well words are low so g2g!!

DJ's Hand-Out

In Sunday School yesterday, DJ (aka Teacher for the Day) talked about Indivual Soul Liberty. It was really good. He also gave us this hand out about a guy who definatlly had ISL.

"Rasberry Point, Iowa, seems like the most unlikely place fot a terrorist to strike, but the residents are living in fear of one. This terrorist doesn't have political demands or international motives; his is a higher calling. He's a terrorist for God.
Known as 'the religious terrorist,' this unidentified man has on two occasions threatened people with physical harm until they acknowledged his denomination as the only way to Heaven. One of the victimssaid that he was forced to attend a 'denominational' meeting in an abandoned barn, where only he and the terrorist were present. 'We sat on a bale of hay while he just stared into space for about an hour. Then he told me he would be looking for me at the next meeting, and if I wasn't there, he's know where to find me.' ...

Okay, I think I don't need to say that this guy definatlly had some issues. I don't know what his denomination was, but that was not the way to witness. When you cause somebody physical harm or threaten them, then that is pretty much being what this guy is.
We are supposed to believe the Bible, nothing more & nothing less. And for those people who think that you can believe whatever you want, you can, meaning your able to, but when you get judged, you are gonna wish you never did or believed whatever you wanted.

Saturday: Official Day of Boredom

There is snow everywhere today. I can't go anywhere. What else is there to do? Hmm..internet? Well, everyone else is somewhere..but not on the internet so that's not a choice. I have read my magazines a million times and know them front wards and back. I cooooould read my book for school..nah. The book is too sad and boring. Dad hooked up the surround sound speakers for the DVD player and it congradulating himself by watching LOTR II. This blog post was quite boring, wasn't it? LOL. I'll try to think of something better and maybe come post something later. ~bYe~

Sick

You all know me pretty well and thus you probably know that I do not get sick that often. Yet, why am I sitting here typing this blog post while school is still in session? Hmm... well, I'm sick. I wasn't feeling too hot Sunday night (well, actually I was because I had a fever) so, thankfully, since there was no school on Monday, I didn't miss school that day. Then Dad took my temperature with one of those old-fashioned thermometers that literally stab you in the mouth. Anyways, it was 103 and I was shaking like crazy because I couldn't get warm. Mom called the doctor and he said that if I felt the same in the morning to bring me in. Tuesday morning comes, I get my temperature taken again, and it said 102. No school today. I go to the doctor and find out I have some kind of bacterial infection. He gave some technical name but I can't remember it. Now, I'm taking 3 medications. I got these big horse pills (I mean they're HUGE) and cough syrup stuff along with Motrin. I couldn't swallow the pills so my mom emptied them into yogurt but it got the yogurt all nasty and gross. (Oh yeah, that isn't all one day, that's Monday and Tuesday) I woke up today with a low-grade fever and Mom said I should stay home. I watched George Bush's inauguration. I'm feeling alot better and will probably go back to school tomorrow and get all that lovely make up work to do over the weekend.

No Late Fees?

By now, I am guessing you heard about Blockbusters "No Late Fees" The world's largest video rental company will still have due dates for their rental products -- one week for games and two days or one week for movies, depending on whether it's a new release. But customers will be given a one-week grace period after that to return the product. After that grace period ends, the chain will automatically sell them the product, less the rental fee. If the customers don't want to purchase the movie or game, they can return the product within 30 days for a credit, less a restocking fee. It's good news for us, but let's see how long they can keep this up... :-\

Kmart

I went to Kmart today and I bought the most girly-ish thing in the world: a football. Yup, I bought pig skin. Well, actually it was a cheap little thing made of rubber, but it will do. Then I got the Titanic DVD from Emily (thanx dude!) and this whole pig ol' pack of Winter Fresh gum, the good stuff. Not the generic type, name brand baby.
Well, word are low so got to go!

Glasses

Well, it happend. I got glasses. Yup. I went in for my appointment yesterday at Lenscrafters in the mall and I went in and my optomologist, Dr. Miller ;) said "Well, you need a small persription" I only need to wear them for seeing to blackboard, over head, Pastor Kuhns, and other stuff like that that is too far away to see clearly. Audrey got contacts too. I told her she looks good with them and better than her glasses but she says she is still getting used to it. She never knew what she lookes like without them because she could never see correctly! Heh heh... I knew because when she woke up or went to bed at night she would take her glasses off.

The coffee house was fun last night. We played hide-and-seek (woo hoo! lol) but I'm telling you it was the most challenging game of hide-and-seek I ever played! We played with all the lights off so it was hard. First, the youth group had to hide (I hid with Emily's friend, Brittany, in the beginner department in the crib with all the stuffed animals. Bobby found me like second or something and I actually got mad I was found! Heh heh.. Then the teens had to hide and the leaders had to find us. That time I was found almost last because I was behind closed doors. (Sneaky me) Then lastly, the leaders hid and the kids had to find them. We found Carl first. Then James like 20 minutes later. But, nobody could find Clint. I was in the sancuary with some other people and I said to Kristen "Ooh! I'm gonna look in here!" and she said "No, that's wear all the communion stuff is" and so i was peer pressured not to look in there. Then I kept hearing noises and I couldn't figuere out where they were coming from. Later, we found him..in the communion table!! LOL <--literally emily! Then we played Mafia and SURPRISE, SURPRISE I wasn't the mafia or cop..again. I was a stupid ol' citizen,. I hate being the citizen. It's not cool because you are just the Average Joe of the town. Anyways, I didn't get booted during the game. Audrey got kicked out second or something.. It was a fun night. ::well that's all:: ~*~Luv ya!

What Am I Doing?

What am I doing today? Well, at 12:30 I have an optomologist appointment. Then, maybe, Mom will take us out to eat at McDonald's or something. Who knows? Then Audrey is going out later today (I don't know when) so you can count on me being on the internet for most of the day.

Then tonight there is a :coffee house: at church, looking forward to that.

that's (^^^) pretty much my day. If you want to do something later, call and I'll see if I can.

Last night, my family and I went to AMC to see the incredibles. It's a really good movie so if you haven't seen it I would advise you to. Audrey and I didn't want to have to share one popcorn with the rest of the family so I bought a Large popcorn and she bought a Large drink. We said "We gotta promise ourselves that we won't eat or drink any of this until atleast the previews start. You know how they have those stupid "Silence Is Golden" and "Please Turn Off Your Cell Phone" or "Be Courteous To Others" along with those annoying triva questions only old people my parents age can answer. :) Our family was the only people watching that movie, except for a couple sitting a few rows infront of us.

Oh yeah, if you're wondering, Akron Public Schools have today off for teachger in-service or what ever..

Well, I'll probbly post something later. ~*~Elizabeth Renee

Beautiful

I was so unique now I feel skin deep
Count on the makeup to cover it up
Crying myself to sleep cause I can not keep their attention
I thought I could be strong but its killing me
Someone hear my cry
I'm dying for new life

-Chorus-
I wanna be beautiful
Make you stand in awe
Look inside my heart
And be amazed
I want to hear you say
Who I am is quite enough
I just want to be worthy of love and beautiful

Sometimes I wish that I was someone other then me
Fighting to make the mirror happy
Trying to find whatever is missing
Dont you help me back to love me

-Repeat Chorus-

"You make me stand in awe
You stepped inside my heart
And I am amazed
I love to hear you say
Who I am is quite enough
You make me worthy of love and beautiful
You make me worthy of love and beautiful"
