Absolutly, Positively Awesome Day!

Well, today, as the title specifices, was incredibly awesome. First and foremost, I think I should tell you this. MY DADDY GOTS A JOB TODAY!!!! woooooo! This is so awesome! He's been out of a job for about 3 months, and I feel ashamed to say that I was getting a little discouraged. God is so awesome! Thank you to everybody for your prayers and all of your support. I am so thrilled for my dad. So now my mom has a job, and my dad, and so me and Audrey will have to be home alone until about 6 everyday. Philip will be watched by his friend's mom. I'm not sure how I will get home, though. On nice days, I can walk to my house, but not in this weather! Oh, well! I'm sure we will find somebody :) Right now, I feel like my life is perfect (but we all know that's impossible!)

School was very good today, well, as good as school can get. I got a 100% on my Call Of The Wild bok quiz! Woo! I love this book and I've only read one chapter. It is so sad though. This dog named Buck is kidnapped and tortured as they take him to Alaska as a snow dog during the Gold Rush of 1849. I actually almost cried because I hate animal abuse! And, I also hate Joseph Smith...the stupid man in the red sweater! LOL Brandy!! Joseph Smith is the name me and Brandy gave the man who abused Buck. :) He is like Santa.

After school I went to Hayley's crib! WOO lol. She attempted to tutor on math because I am math comprehension deprived. I still don't get it, but I'll try and understand it. We played Mario Kart and I beat her bad. She was left in the dusk. She couldn't keep up with me. She kept falling in the pits and being frozen by the giant ice cubes! HAHA.... ;-) No matter how much she denys it. I spilled stale Reese's Puffs all over my pants and the chair. LOL. That was some coooold milk. She has to do some sort of model thing for science class made the grass teal and the water purple. Haha...I'm just kidding, Hayley! It turned out very nicely, yet she still doesn't believe me.

Well, I should be going now. Aren't you happy that I have been posting on a regular basis?! :-D I'll try to keep it up! LYL

CWTU

Aww! These look like cute little old ladies, right? Sure they are! But these women were part of the WCTU (Women's Christian Temperance Union). We were talking about them in Social Studies while taking notes the 29 Amendments. I thought that this was pretty interesting!

Back in the day...alcohol was sold everywhere, even in like barbershops. People could get drunk anywhere they went. These ladies hated it, so they made quite a statement. They would walk into wherever the beer, gin, whiskey, or whatever was sold with their little Bibles and axes and just smash everything to bits, singing hymns all the way. They would get arrested and then be bailed out of jail by their husbands and the towns people who felt sorry for them. And then, of course, they would go and do it again.

Then an amendment was made that no alcohol was to be sold. Or maybe it was before. (Shows how much I need to study) This was called the Prohibition Prohit amendment. A few years later, late 20s or early 30s, they allowed alcohol to be sold again.

Pretty interesting stuff, huh? Well if those ladies felt that they were doing a work for God, I don't think that's exactly what they did. But, either way, it makes for some pretty interesting 2nd period classes!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yea, so today. Good. I won't tell you everything that happend, so just know today was very good.

We learned a new song in choir today by Mozart. Yea..everybody hates it except me!! LOL. I don't think that I am going to do orchestra May Festival because 1.) I would miss a lot of school for practices and I absolutly haaate make-up work! 2.) I would rather do choir because I am learnign the songs anyways! And I like to sing more than playing my cello, even though cello rocks, right Lydia?! HAHA..o yea!

Well, so yea in Wentzel's we took the computer test on the red badge of courage. Wow...um...I flunked that! 45%..wow. Sad, huh? The thing was though that the questions were, accoriding the Beth Krotchka, very vague, which they were. I mean we read te book and look for the stupid little minut details that has absoluty no signifigance whatsoever, and then we miss the total general idea of the book. I even went to SparkNotes! But, I got my StarReading test back and my GE is 12.9+! Woooow, that's a little exaggerated, I think. So, according to that I can read college material. Um..no. Sorry, I don't think so!!

And at lunch I got baked beans on my shirt and Hayley stole my grape juice and I had a corndog. Pretty much all that period. We watched a movie in Work and Family with some wierd man who had a tupai, or however you spell toopay. And in Spanish..I forget. That used to be my favorite class, but not anymore. I'm Spanish and that class is muy dificil! I probably spelt that wrong!!! EEKK. I still need to work on my yet to begin family tree AND write my essay on Mozart for choir AND do my science review questions!! I'M SO OVERWHELMED!!!!

And that's all. Leave some comments por favor! wooooo The End

'Lesha-Face

Last night I spent the night with that one girl named Tylesha. I had oodles of fun. First, when I got to her house, we went up to her room and just hung out. For some reason, Ashley was following us around while she was on the phone with her bf. OOOOO. lol. Then we went up in the attic and they showed me the girl's room. We had fun with Floam. I picked up another phone and told Ashley's little friend to respect her as a young lady!! He's like, "Uh-huh..." LOL.

Then we went to Cici's Pizza buffet. Whoda thunk it? A pizza buffet? Brillant! They were out of my stuff..pepperoni pizza, but they had a bazillion other kinds. I tried the macaronni and cheesed pizza. I was like, "Hey, my two favorite foods in one!" Um..maybe I shouldn't have. It was .. gross! LOL. Finally, I went up again to attempt at getting my pepperonni pizza. I saw it. Two little slices of pepperoni. But, this old woman picked both of them. Grrr..that made me mad. Woman..why do you need both peices? I am a growing child who needs my nourishment! Finally, I got them. My anticipated pizza slices. Yum!!

Afterwards, we picked up Carl, Michael and Charlie and went to Wal-Mart to pick up some cameras. Tylesha had the awesome idea to make a photo album for her grandpa Frank of everyone in the family before he leaves on Tuesday for Afghanastan. Of course, I had to play the little sample Nintendo games! I got 4th place in Mario Kart :(. Haha. After that we went to Family Video. We got a whole bunch of free cartoon movies. Looking at that selection of old videos made me remember my young childhood. *Sigh*. We ended up picking The Brave Little Toaster, Pippi Longstockings, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (don't get that movie! haha),and Scamper the Penguin. I love Blankie!! He's so cute.

I had a lot of fun! I love my friends!!!!!!!!!!

Yippee!

As you can see, I am very very happy right now. Why? Well, because...

Mommy gots' a job!!!!

She will be working at Van Devere car dealership as a secratary/frontdesk woman! I am very excited! Prayers are awesome. Whoever said they are usless doesn't know what they are talking about. She is working full-time from 9-6. It will be different without my mommy! I said that I will ask Mrs. Firtha for some easy recipes that I can make for dinner. Hey, I can make Vicki's recipe QUICK AND EASY CASSEROLE! Wow, I love that stuff!!!! Except it has mushrooms, and I am tramatized by mushrooms from Swensons!! LOL Anyways... back to mom. She says that she is nervous because she hasn't worked in an office for like 18 years!! Don't worry, Mommy, you'll be awesome!

I love my Mommy!

My Little Monkey

I got my little monkey at VBS! He is a very cool monkey. He has velcro hands and legs so he can hang from trees. As you can see, he is orange, which makes him an Ellet monkey. His eyes are silly because they are cross-eyed! My monkey has a biiiig smile across his face!
I love my monkey.

Just Wing It

This is what I told my team in gym class on how to run the plays in "Ultimate Nerf Football". And now I'm taking that advice on my bloggage. I felt the urge to write, but I'm not sure what about. So, I'm going to wing it.

Yesterday. It's all a big blur. Um..we had a party in choir, if you'd call it that. People brought in music and we had candy in cookies because our class was already ahead of the others. Um..I was chosen as student of the month for Mrs. Laktash! :) I'll try and find an actual good picture of me for the S.O.T.M. wall. All of the altos in our room made the auditions for select choir for Choirs In The Round. So, yea, I'm excited for that! Oh, but anyways, back to the par-tay..Victoria brought in a Rascal Flatts cd. Libby, (a.k.a. the DJ) put it in at full blast. I guess the song was called "Skin" or something. Victoria turns to me and she's like, "Listen to the words, I cry everytime I hear this song." Man, it was hard to contain the tears! It was about this girl who had cancer and she lost all of her hair to chemo. This guy asked her to prom, which I guess was a big surprise, and he shaved his head for prom, for her. :') Victoria was like lip-syncing along with it, which turned the fountains on even more. Everyone was like, "Is Liz crying?" LOL.....maybe.

So, I had my conversation with Sra. Seroke. I picked the absolutle hardest conversation ever! The first thing she said was, "Buenos tardes, Elena [my chosen Spanish name]." I asked her to repeat it like twice and just sat staring at her confused. Finally, I realized she was saying good afternoon so I'm like, "Oh! Hola.." Wow, now if that didn't wreck my already low confidence in this, I don't know what did. I paused a lot and I think that I responded to her correctly. Wow. Actually, I volunteered to go first, which may have been better for me in her point of view. I always try to go first and get it over and done with!! Hayley got the same card and we pretty much had the same answers, which is a good sign!!

And how could I forget..I got out of 8th and 9th periods yesterday to attend the 1st annual Hyre Spelling Bee. The top 6 people got to go to the Divisional Bee. That was the looongest thing ever. I sat next to Jelena and we tried to spell the words right! Mona was in it, but unfortuanatly, she got out in the 2nd or 3rd round. :(. She did good though! Tyron was hilarious. He looked like an exentric Baptist preacher up there. LOL! He missed the word "leopardess" though. Aww, poor guy! But wow, these 2 kids were left from the 6th round to the 12th. It was insane. When the girl would miss one, so would he. Finally, when he got one right and she didn't, I thought it was over. Nope. He had spell one more word. Darn..he missed it. This went on forever. They still didn't finish!!! They have to finish on Monday. I was getting really anxious!

Today is Waiver Day and so we have no school. I'm bored. We're not going to do anything! We never do. I'm always stuck in the house. Boo Hoo. I'll probaby end up cleaning my room. I HATE CLEANING. Tonight is the Coffee House so atleast I can look forward to that. Want to do something?

I Should Post

Shouldn't I? =)

Tuesday, January 17

Hey!

Hola! I am pretty darn emotionless right now. And that's not a bad thing. I just feel..average!

I had a good weekend. Let's see..I babysat on Saturday. What a trip! I walked into the house, and Sophie and Claire were so excited because now they could have their princess party. The pulled me to the dress-up box and they put a purple flower hat on my head and butterfly wings on my back. When we went to the basement..where the party was.. Sophie started bowing down to a naked doll. I'm like..ok, Soph! LOL. Then we had a little karaoke and Leah did her tap-dancing for us. Then we went upstairs and had some dinner: turkey slices with cheese cubes on crackers. Yum... They did their dances from dance class for me before popping in IcePrincess. LOL. Sorry, Kristen ;-). I was actually getting into it!! LOL

Monday was no school so I just hung around the house. At 1, I went to Libby's to "study" for the Spanish exam with her, Julie, and Hayley. Yea..we were getting very anxious and a little upset that this material wasn't sinking in. Hayley and Julie went home to wash clean up. They came back with the Becca and we ate dinner. I taught Julie how to speak Ubie-Dubbie!!! Then, all 5 of us piled into the back seat of the car and drove to the Linda Theatre. The ticket lady was out of it. I shared my humongous Harry Potter bucket of popcorn with Hayley. Somebody..IDK who..decided we should go to the front on the theatre. Haha..Chicken Little looked Chicken Huge! But, Sarah came and whispered to Libby for us to come back because this old man in the front row, by himself, in a child movie, was staring at us. Yikes!! Infer what you want..
Yea, so anyways. I had a really fun time!!!

Now, my Mama is in the process of being trained for her new Jockey buisness thingy. Yeah! I'm really happy for Mom. Half and bajillion people are coming over!! Wooo..par-tay!

Well, I'mma go now. Leave me something!

P.S. Sorry guys..my writing enthusiasm has hit an all time low and I don't know why. I'll try to make my posts more enjoyable to read!! :-p

"Updation"

Hmm..is that even a real word. Oh well. Let's see. I'm almost finished with my semester exams. So far, I know I have a 100.4 in Pre-Algebra. I'm so surprised because that was a tough semester. Not looking forward to the next one! I took my Spanish listening part today. I bombed the back, I know it! I am gonna study this weekend until I know where every period in each of the 5 chapters are, because Tuesday(no school Mon. for MLK Day) I have a 100 mulitple choice question test! Aaah!! I'm nervous already. I'm going to hyperventilate in class and then pass out, then not be able to take the test, and then have to do take a make-up test and pass out again!! And we have to have a conversation with Sra. Seroke in the ESPANOL language!

I got a haircut today!! I told the lady to chop off 2 1/2 inches. After she was done blow-drying my hair, she realized the right side was noticably shorter than the left! Eek!! So, out came the scissors again and there went another quarter inch. It's definatly shorter than I wanted, but I am getting used to it! I need to learn my lesson and just show them how much I want off, not how many inches. It always ends up not the way I wanted. Anyways, I got my split-ends chopped! Yes! And I got my hair re-layered. Woop woop.

Let's see, what else? Hmm.. Oh, I was eating a King sized Snickers (yummy) and I looked at the nutrition facts just for the fun of it. The serving suggestion was 1/3 bar, then I looked at the calories and there were 170. That's over 500 calories for each bar!! Sheez. MasterfoodsUSA is trying to kill the entire human population!!

And now, all of the rest of my thoughts crammed into one paragraph!
Audrey joined the track team today. Yea! I'm glad for her because she now has a hobby! She doesn't work out or anything (and still gorgeous!), yet she still has guns twice the size of mine. What's up with that?! LOL. I <3 you, girl! And what else? I am babysitting tomorrow. Thpse girls are so cute. They go lala over Jesse McCartny on the tv and start kissing the television set! Hehe. Was I like that at their age? Nooo. I was the one with the mullet and my old Yoggie Bear hat and vests with a million pockets. I was that rough and tumbling girl who had a million black and blue marks and scraps on her knees from climbing the swing set and falling out of the tree. I was the girl who told very weird stories to people at my church! Yup, that was me!! =]

And that's all she wrote. Leave some comments, yes!

Never Eat Icecream Before Bed

I probably had this weird dream because I consumed ice cream before I went to bed. That always makes me dream some insane stuff! Anyways, so here it is: (BTW..everything after this was part of the dream)

In my dream, Emily and Mrs. Kozy bought a lake in Africa. They invited myself and my mommy to take a swim in it. All of a sudden, these humongous elephants came in for a dip. I was freaking out by this time because I just saw on African Geographic how elephants can turn on you and kill you with their tusks. Then this one elephant came walking towards us. I was yelling for everybody to get out of the lake. I didn't want them to die! Emily was trying to calm me down by saying, "He is my friend! His name is Babar!!" I wouldn't listen to I got out of the water. Then all of these mosquitoes infected with malaria came and began biting me, so I had to get in the water again. Soon Babar was close to us and he winked and me with a little grin. This assured me Babar was all good. After that, Em and I decided to get in the pool. The pool was a little cement rectangle connected to the lake. We got in and began playing with Babar. He sprayed us with his trunk and we played with Splash Bombs. Then, on the other side of the lake, I saw a bunch of skeletons running along the bank towards us. But they were weird skeletons, like a bunch of kids dressed up for Halloween. It was night by this time, but I could see the skeletons because they glew in the dark. Again, I warned everybody that we were in danger! This time they believed me because the skeletons came out every night to eat the fish in the lake. The leader came to the pool and jumped in. He must have mistaken my foot for a fish because he began attacking me. Lucky for me, Babar was there to protect me. He ate the skeleton. I thanked him, and then became aware that the skin on my foot was decomposing (yuk!) Babar said that the oxygen in the air would heal it. Then there was a big group hug and I woke up.

Yes, I told you it was a wacko dream! Sorry for wasting your time on my stupid dreams :0)

Estoy Enferma

Yes, I'm not feeling too hott. Well, I am literally with a slight fever, but you know what I mean. Nothing really out there has happend today. Maybe that's why I feel like a piece of junk today. So I woke up around 9:30 and had a toaster strudel. Mmm..it was mighty delicious. Um.. blah blah blah..I forget almost everything! Um..I made macaronni and cheese for the family for lunch. Then I watched War of the Worlds. That's an okay movie... It's really suspenseful in some parts though, which I like. It wasn't scary, mostly freaky. Like these giant tripod things would take up people in light beams and only their clothes were left and they just kind of like turned to ash. Weird... I wouldn't watch it again, though.

We're taking down the Christmas decorations. :'( I love looking at all of the little things in the living room that remind me of Christmas. Now, out come the flower tea pots again!!

Well, I need to go now. Hopefully I will feel better and be able to go to church tomorrow!

Get Ready To Vent!

My venting period has begun. I've got a lot of things on my mind and this happens to be the perfect place to tell you all about them. But before I do that, here's my day. (Bear with..)

So today was a very good day! I felt like a total idiot again in Language Arts because I had to yell STRIKE ONE! really loud and like an ump. We are reading Casey At The Bat, and that is part of my section to read. Lydia said I scared her and made her jump out of her seat. LOL, I still hate doing it! We have to draw an entire map of the WORLD in science class. I have absolutly no idea what the signifigance of this little project would be. We have to label all of the countries.. Ahh! I never realized Russia was so humongous!! Well, science was pointless. We are learning about the evolutionary theory. It's so stupid. I hate it. But, of course we used up much of the period talking about unneccesary things. Like how milk is bad for you because it is acidic and will cause osteoperosis. What ever! I love milk and contiue to drink it!!

And now..I shall vent.

Now, I wrote alittle something like this before in March of this year. But, I've noticed so much lately how people act different in hopes of being liked. I, for one, was part of this "be like everyone else" movement, especially during 6th adn 7th grade. I remember just needing to have the Etnies or Chuck Taylors (looking back now..why??), wanting the Aeropostale clothes, and everything else all of the "cool" kids had. Now this year the thing to have are those big sequin purses. Everybody has them! I see almost everygirl in the hallway carrying these things. Honestly, I'm happy with my old, breaks every 15 minutes, brown, lumpy purse!

I remember reading the testimony of this guy who was at a campus. He saw this guy wearing all black, piercings everywhre, purple/green hair spiked a foot high. He went up to him and asked him, "Why do you dress like this?" He replied, "I want to be unique...you know, an individual." "You mean like all of those other guys over there?" This was so true!

So many people these days try so hard to fit in that they will go to the extent of changing their entire appearance, language, behavior, and ditch their friends. Everybody wants to liked. In very few accourances do I find those that change their lives become popular, get the guy, or whatever, and stay in thatt situation for very long.

This year, I made the decision to not get into that, and I can honestly say that eigth grade year has been the best and most fun year yet. Of course, there are other reasons for this, but I'm positive this is an essential factor. I've made lots of new friends, I'm happy with myself because I'm not constantly beating myself up to be perfect and liked by everybody, because that's not going to happen. No matter what you do, not everybody in the entire world will like you.

So, be yourself. God made you exactly the way he wanted you! He doesn't mess up, so how could he have disformed you? You're loved. My grandparents have this picture on their wall that makes me smile everytime I see it. It has a little poor boy standing in raggedy and it says, "God made me. God doesn't make junk."

Have a good day!! I heart you!!

Sleep Deprivation Times 3!

Ok, so maybe being deprived of sleep isn't the right way to say it, because I enjoyed every minute of it! I have gone to bed very late for the past three nights. But like I said, it was okay because I was having fun.

Thursday night I spent the night at the Adams' house. All of the girls from the youth group were there. When Audrey and I walked in the door, everyone was enjoying the game of Disney Trivial Pursuit. I lost by one pie piece!! :) Then we watched Beauty and the Beast (my request). I heart that movie!! I painted Katie's nails and oh how pretty they looked :-D. Tylesha and I decided to act silly by having staring contests, laughing contests, thumb wrestling, and THEN arm wrestlings. Whew, that is one beastly girl! She whooped my behind!! We must have started a trend because soon everybody was doing it. The only person I beat was Vicki :-D Kristen A. and Kristen arm wrestled eachother, too. That was fun to watch. Both of their faces turned bright Crayola crayon colored red. We won't mention the turnout of that. :) After that, I decided to attempt to curl Emily's hair. She says it is impossible to curl because she is in chlorine all the time. But, I did it! I found a weird angle to put the curling iron at that made it come out beautiful! Soon, we settled down and brought our pillows and sleeping bags (well, most of us..) downstairs. Boys, camp, boys, relationship, boys, food, and boys were just some of the conversations we had. We didn't fall asleep until 3ish.

Friday night the Kozy girls spent the night. That was fun, too! I was so surprised that they actually liked my cat! All Kozy's are known and will go down in history for their hatred of cats. They taught us a new way to leg wrestle (yes, we are violent people who wrestle!) We all sat on Audrey's bed and talked for a while. Audrey said, "Remeber how we used to sit on eachother's beds and talk for hours? It's so cute that we still do that!" Yes, it is! We have so many good memories with these girls. Like throwing Barbie's into Stephen and Jimmy's room to be "funny" and getting them back decapitated. And then putting on big winter coats and having fashion shows in the middle of August. :) I love them!!
We watched to deleted scenes from my new DVD (45 minutes worth!) along with all the other extra features. I happen to enjoy that better than the actual movie sometimes! It amazed me how all 4 of us managed to fit on that old sofa bed downstairs. But, only 3 of us slept on it (Audrey couldn't take it!) We printed nonsense off of the internet to enjoy while falling asleep. Pick-up lines, Would You Rather questions, and stupid facts were some of the entertainment. Soon after, we went to sleep.

Needless to say I stayed up late last night! I was so tired this morning because I didn't go to sleep until 1:00 and had to wake up at 8. Anyways, we went to church for a dinner and a movie. I thought the movie was good, but as I probably told a lot of you, it reminded me of the Jungle Book! It had a good story line to it (and it was true). As always, dinner was awesome. Baptist women can cook! Hehe. Then we went to the Kozy's. We played DDR, Mafia, and just had an awesome time. Audrey was my first kiss of 2006! LOL. We got home around 12: 25 and I didn't get to bed until 1:00!!

Tomorrow we got back to school....ugh. I need to take a long nap today so that I don't fall asleep in class tomorrow..oh no, we wouldn't want that. I also need to study for Spanish. I have been putting that off for a while, huh? Although I did study alittle, so you gotta give me something for that!

So, that was my weekend. And sorry more my lack of posting lately. Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things. So until later..good-bye!
